11. Buffalo Bills – Dan Connor | LB | Penn State

The Bills continue building their defense through first round picks and they add another LB from Penn State to team up with Puz it should be a perfect fit.
12. Denver Broncos – Kenny Phillips | S | Miami

Safety may not be the biggest need but its a need that has gone un-addressed for years and with Sedrick Ellis gone they should go ahead and address it. Kenny Phillips is a great fit to replace John Lynch who is contemplating retirement, this will give Denver safety that can run and is great in coverage and a player that draws comparisons to Steve Atwater with his hard hitting style, Atwater was a fantastic safety for t he broncos and I think the front office realizes S is a huge need so Phillips is the pick here.
*********DRAFT DAY TRADE**********
***Carolina trades its 13th pick for Seattle’s 25th and 57th***
13. Seattle Seahawks (fr/ CAR) – Jonathan Stewart | RB | Oregon

Its no secret that the Seahawks are looking for a new RB and they have gone on the record of saying they would think about drafting Jonathan Stewart and he wants to be drafted by the Seahawks also so he can stay in the state of WA where he grew up at, but he is ranked the #2 RB and teams like DET, ARI, HOU, DAL, PITT that were ahead of Seattle would maybe grab Stewart forcing the Seahawks to trade up to get exactly what they want and with Kenny Phillips off the board Carolina had no real reason to stay that high in the draft.

14. Chicago Bears - Matt Ryan | QB | Boston College

Rex Grossman isn’t sticking around in Chicago so for Matt Ryan to be there at 14 the Bears would be crazy not to draft him, most have Ryan as the #1 QB prospect and while hes not an elite QB prospect he can be a good fit for the Chicago Bears offense, Rex Grossman couldn’t handle pressure but Matt Ryan sure can.
15. Detroit Lions - Aqib Talib | CB | Kansas

Perhaps the Lions biggest need right now is CB and MLB and there aren’t any real true first round MLBs that can play in a cover 2 so they need to go after a CB early in the draft especially if they cannot land a big time CB in free-agency, even if they do land a CB in free agency, I think its still smart to draft another corner especially a CB with the skill set Aqib Talib who is perfect to play a cover 2 scheme.
16. Arizona Cardinals – Leodis McKelvin | CB | Troy

Antrelle Rolle moving to FS opens up a glaring need for depth at the CB position but you don’t draft in the first round for depth you draft for starters and Leodis McKelvin would be a top 5 pick if he had better ball skills he is a physical corner who can break on routes with the best of them the only knock on him is that he doesn’t always reel in the INT when he should but he still gets the pass breakup, if he works on his hands he will instantly challenge Eric Green for starting role at the #2 corner spot.
17. Minnesota Vikings - Malcolm Kelly | WR | Oklahoma

Vikings have a few different needs but how many times have you seen the Vikings WRs just disappear, I have seen it a couple of times last year. The only bright spots they had at WR were rookies Aundre Allison and Sidney Rice so I think the Vikings continue to go young at WR and bring in Malcolm Kelly who has a chance at being a legit #1 WR at the next level.
18. Houston Texans – Rashard Mendenhall | RB | Illinois

Ever since Dominack Davis got injured the texans running game hasn’t been all that consistent, but since Gary Kubiak has been Head Coach it seems to be improving with the ZBS, yeah Ahman Green was hurt last year and Darius Walker was a bright spot at times but he is not big enough and both of them don’t seem like they got what it takes to be the long term answer in Houston, Gary Kubiak drafts a complete RB who ran out of a ZBS at Illinois he fits the teams needs and he fits the system.

19. Philadelphia Eagles – Calias Campbell | DE | Miami

Campbell’s stock has been falling lately but with it looking like the freak is soon to be out of Philly they need someone that can truly rush the passer and Campbell is a pretty good candidate for that I think the eagles go with a DE here.

20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Sam Baker | OT | USC

Sam Baker is a big linemen who can play LT or G at the next level but I am pretty sure he will be LT and even tho the buccaneers have a lot of needs and possibly the addition of another RB I think there are plenty of those in the 2nd round and they go with another need at LT and select Sam Baker.
